About Farah Al Nas

Farah Al-Nas operates as a community-youth radio station fostering collaborative engagement between the youth and society to make developmental media content. Positioned as a purposeful platform, it endeavors to raise awareness on relevant issues affecting Jordanian citizens, especially the ones that concern women and youth. The Radio have a network of young male and female reporters hailing from diverse governorates who undergo regular training sessions to hone their journalistic skills. In collaboration with 52 JOHUD (Jordan Hashemite Fund for Human Development) centers, which actively engage with local communities, Farah Al-Nas Radio contributes to programs and activities supporting children, women, people with disabilities, and marginalized groups. Our commitment to developmental initiatives is underscored by our efforts in youth capacity building through media training programs. These programs equip participants not only with essential media skills but also with interpersonal competencies vital for personal and professional growth, including teamwork, empathy, and effective communication. Leveraging the power of social media, we employ multiple platforms to create developmental content, conduct expert interviews, and foster interactive engagement within the community. At the core of our mission is to empower youth across all segments of society. This entails active involvement in content creation and broadcasting, alongside dedicated efforts towards the advancement of women and people with disabilities, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive media content accessible to all. Aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, our programs address it in every subject including environmental sustainability, healthcare, poverty , and economic development. As the only community radio station broadcasting across multiple governorates, Farah Al-Nas Radio holds official coverage over Amman and Zarqa, extending its reach to regions including Madaba, Al Karak, Maan, Al Balqa, and Al Mafraq.
